Adventure Description |
 |
During the Summer months, the Lower Mitta Mitta River carries an enormous volume of water from Dartmouth Dam, creating a deep fast flowing river with big waves similar to the large volume rivers of New Zealand and Canada.
The day begins with morning tea and a full safety & paddle briefing, then, it's down to the river for the commencement of your roller coaster ride.
The first section of the Mitta is descended in large self-emptying rafts, ensuring you get the most out of the morning's furious white water. You'll even have the opportunity to tackle the biggest of these rapids ‘Sharks Tooth’ at least twice.
A hearty lunch is provided in a small reserve beside the river, satisfying your hunger and preparing you for the next challenge.
After the morning's Adrenalin rush, the river calms a little allowing you to tackle the session in 3-4 person self-guided rafts. You'll be under the supervision of our experienced guides whilst enjoying a challenging and exhilarating way of attacking rapids, with waves up to a metre high.
