Adventure Description |
 |
Yarra Valley by Balloon is unforgettable!
The Yarra Valley , just one-hour drive from Melbourne 's CBD, is one of Australia 's premier wine regions. Rows of colourful vines blanket the countryside, with deep green pastures stretching into the distance. Multiple launching and landing sites, which are essential for a safe flight, are also accessible. The Yarra Valley provides stable weather conditions and magnificent scenery, making it the ideal place to experience hot air ballooning all year round.
Everything is recognisable but yet everything is different and transformed from above and charged with the romance of hot air balloons. Who would believe that a simple wicker basket, the whoosh of the hot air burners and 200 years of history could weave such a spell on you.
Then the excitement of landing. The preparations under the expert guidance of your experienced pilot, the anticipation, and the uncertainty - which of those farm paddocks is our landing spot today? A gentle touch down and you are safely back on ground - even helping to pack the balloon and gear away is fun.
A 5-star gourmet champagne breakfast is included in your ticket price and provided at the stunning Balgownie Estate Winery after the flight. You can relax and chat with your pilot as you enjoy your sumptuous breakfast.
Non-flying guests are welcome to join you for breakfast. The cost is $35 for adults and $25 for children under 12. Please make breakfast reservations the day before the flight.

Travel approx 4 km north of Yarra Glen township on the Melba Highway and turn left into Gulf Rd. The winery entrance is 150 metres on the right.
What to Wear
The temperature in the balloon is the same as you will find on the ground. Dress in comfortable clothing for the season. You should wear waterproof shoes and warm socks because we often take off and land on damp grass. A hat is a good idea to protect you from the radiant heat out of the balloon burners.
Bring your camera or video with you - everything about a balloon flight is worth photographing. |
